Halloween at Aunt April's

Halloween and the day before were very busy for us! We started out the day before at LilE's preschool. Last minute LilE decided she wanted to be a ballerina instead of a kitty cat. Thankfully we had everything we needed.

Little Cora was especially cute in her elephant costume.

Then Cora and I went to Ethan's school where he received a merit award for being respectful, helpful and following the rules.

Then it was off to Aunt April's house! The drive was eventful but we made it and got to trick-or-treat in her awesome neighborhood where most every house participated in Halloween. We love that she lives so close now!

By Halloween LilE was back to being a Kitty Cat. Aunt April helped out by painting her face.

We had so much fun visiting Aunt April and can't wait to go back!

Ethan Learns to Fish

Grandpa Scotty teaches him to use the button. Drop, reel in, repeat.

"Hey! I got this!" (Don't you just love the crossed legs?)

Fishing takes concentration.

Maybe baby sister can help? No way!

Then Uncle AJ taught him to toss the line. This could go on all day if we let it.

But it was worth it to see how happy it made him!

I especially like the squatting position.

He even let Momma help!

Next time maybe we will let him tie a little minnow on the end. No hooks yet, though. Hopefully Daddy will be there to teach him that!

Lily Dawn 7 Months Old- A Trip to OZ

We just returned from a family vacation to visit my sister April in Kansas. She took Lily and I to visit the OZ museum in Wamego, KS.

It all starts with the Ruby Slippers.

Do you see the Witch in the upper window?

This place was amazing!

The OZ museum was built with a major grant from the State of Kansas and the generosity of the people of this small community, who also provided thousands of hours of volunteer time. The museum houses more than just memorabilia from the famous 1939 MGM musical starring Judy Garland! It encompasses earlier silent films, one of which starred none other than Oliver Hardy (Laurel and Hardy fame) as the Tin Man as well as "The Wiz" starring Diana Ross and Michael Jackson.
(Taken from the website.)

There was tons of memorabilia from everything OZ. Starting with the original L. Frank Baum books to all the movies and ending with the Broadway Musicals.

Return to OZ
Love this movie!

To end it all there is a little house that fell on the Witch!

Thank you Aunt April for taking us to OZ!!!

At 7 months Lily has her two bottom teeth and looks like the top may come in any day. She is really getting around now and is almost crawling with both her arms and legs. She is on the second rise of her One Size Cloth Diapers and wears a 4 (same size as Ethan!) when she is in disposables. She is wearing some 9 month clothes but mostly 12 month!

Everyone who meets her says she is such a peaceful and happy baby. She is growing up too fast!
