38 Weeks, 5 Days

I always forget to get Eli to take a pic of me while he is home so these self shots will have to do. I love this one with Ethan. He thought I was taking a pic of him! He's such a ham.

Almost 39 weeks with Baby Girl

Baby #2
-VS-
Baby #1

Around 36 weeks pregnant with Ethan.

I think I'm a bit more "pointy" this time around. I'm having more pelvic pain and she feels lower then Ethan did. I have gained about the same amount of weight and look forward to getting it off!

I'm not having any signs of labor, not even BH. With Ethan I started having BH about 4 days before he was born but they were only every 30 mins and not painful at all. Those were the only signs of labor I had with him. My water never even broke till the end.

I'm pretty tired today but I think that's because it's raining. I'm not getting much sleep at night. I wake ever hour to two hours to us the bathroom and sometimes I can't get back to sleep. (By the way, Star Trek, TNG comes on at 3 am!)

Ethan was born at 40 Weeks 5 days. What's your guess for this Little One????

24 weeks

24 weeks!! Over half way there. I am feeling really great. I attend yoga class at least once a week, sometimes twice. It really helps to adjust my softening joints. If I skip a week I start to feel achy all over and my hips start to hurt. I am looking forward to a yoga workshop mid Oct: Primal Birth. I can't say enough about how much yoga helped me with my first pregnancy, labor and birth.

I can't eat anything too spicy anymore, which makes me really sad. With Ethan I could eat anything! But now I get a terrible stomach ache a few hours after I have a spicy meal.

The Little Girl was head up at her last u/s on Weds which is not really a problem at this age. I've been talking to her and telling her that is not where she is supposed to be and she needs to start making her way head down. Yesterday morning she moved to a side laying position where her feet are to my right side. I can tell because her kicks (feet) are harder then her hits (hands). Keep it up, Baby Girl! You are half way there!!

Here she is with her hands above her head.

Eli says she has "lady like" feet!! I hope so because Ethan has his feet and on a boy they are cute but not so much on a little girl.

Doesn't she have a cute nose?? She weighed 1lb 9oz.

We will start going for u/s every month now. So far every thing is looking great! Healthy Mama and Healthy Baby!

Right now I am doing lots of research on childbirth and the different issues that can arise. I am reading "Creating Your Birth Plan" by Marsden Wagner and taking notes to write my own birth plan. I didn't write a birth plan when I had Ethan because I felt safe having the baby at a Birthing Center. Even though I was very informed on childbirth before Ethan's birth I feel even more so now. I want to know all about the different complications that can happen and what my stance is on them BEFORE they happen! That way we can make an informed choice if something were to happen. I don't really trust myself to remember everything so I'll be writing it down. I'll be sure to share it with you when I am done!

Baby Girl Licking the Placenta!!

I've heard that babies will do this but I've never seen it happen! Here's our baby girl, who is already hungry!!

We're Having a.........

GIRL!!!!!!

We are so excited that Ethan is going to have a little sister! I'm really excited to get to dress her in PINK. I have a few girl newborn clothes I've been saving over the years I'm going to dig out of a box in the garage.

I am 18 weeks along and feeling her move around. She was very active during the u/s. Everything looked great. I have a  video that I will post later if I can get it to upload to youTube.

My First Cloth Diapers

Mommie V

Mommie V and Funky Mama Bird are starting "Cloth Tushie Tuesday" and I thought I'd join in on the fun! Today we are talking about our first cloth diaper. My first cloth diapers were bought before Ethan was born and I was still working. Eli and I decided that I should stay home with the baby and we were looking for ways to save money. Cloth diapering was something that could save lots of money! I did a little research online and bought 15 BG 3.0 in white. I thought white would be easier to clean because I could use bleach on them. I don't have those same diapers for various reasons (see this post) but BG's are still my most trusted diapers!

We didn't start using the BG's until Ethan was 2 months old. He was just too small for them and I think I was a bit overwhelmed and wasn't ready to add one more thing to my growing list of responsibilities! I am so glad we started CDing and I can't wait to CD the Little One from the beginning. I've already started my Newborn CD stash!

Home..for now and Ethan's Secret

We are home from our various vacations of the last month but off to visit my family in Oklahoma tomorrow. We had a great time visiting family and have lots of pics I want to share. It will take several different post to get it all in!

As for now, Ethan has a little secret he wants to announce:
We are having Baby #2!!!!!The Little One is 12 weeks old today, edd mid January 2011. Up until now we have just told close family members but I'm really excited to let everyone in on our secret! Little One will be born at the same Birthing Center as Ethan was. I am being monitored by a perinatologist because of my Lupus but all is well. I just see it as a great way to get U/S done every 6 weeks! We will find out if Little One is a boy or a girl on Augs 11 and I can't wait.

Thanks for sharing in our blessings and joy!
