A Trip to the Portland Zoo

One of the best things about moving to Oregon is getting to be near one of my best friends. She lives in Portland so we took a quick trip to meet her at the Portland Zoo.

Second Breakfast with Caroline

We had a great visit to our friend's house yesterday. Caroline shared with Ethan some yogurt and fruit.

They enjoyed sitting across from each other while eating their "second" breakfast!

My good friend from Los Angeles, Jess Koehler, is the most gracious and generous person I know. From the time that I met her she has been searching for someone to help. Starting with the homeless on the streets of LA to her first mission trip (that I know of) to Zambia and now Haiti.

A Trip to the Zoo with Caroline

The peacocks were putting on quite a show when we went to the zoo on Wednesday. Caroline and her Mommy met us there and we had a great time, leaving just as the rain started.

Ethan is not as into the animals as Caroline was. All Ethan wanted to do was walk and "talk". La, La, La....

"What is that on the ground? Is it something good to eat?"

Kiddy Park-Party Fun!

Little Ethan and I went to his first Birthday Party!! Caroline turned one yesterday and we celebrated it at the local Kiddy Park. It was such fun!!

Airplanes!! All the Mommas were a bit nervous leaving our babies on the ride by themselves for the first time but every one survived!

These airplanes were powered by the propellers on the front. They were rather loud but most of the babies, including Ethan, made it through without crying.

We had a great time and I think it was a wonderful way to celebrate Caroline's First Birthday.
