Lily Dawn- 1 Month Old

Lily is one month old tomorrow! Time really goes by too fast.

She does wear purple sometimes rather then pink!

She is out of her newborn clothes and into 0-3 month. Some of our NB cloth diapers are not fitting and I had to order new prefolds to get us through to the next size. The prefolds I ordered are on the small side and might not fit for too much longer. Hopefully they will fit until she will fit in her brothers One Size diapers. I think she's around 9lbs but we will find out for sure next week at our check up.

She is staying awake longer in between her naps, sometimes for 2 hours. Unfortunately, sometimes the awake time is late at night or in the middle of the night. Not so good for Mama. But Daddy gets up in the morning with Big Brother Ethan so Mama can sleep in :)

No "social" smiles yet but Daddy says she smiles at him. She hates her car seat unless the car is moving so I wear her in a wrap when we go out.

Ethan loves to pull her socks off and kiss her head.

She's so cute. I am so excited to try newborn dipes on baby #2, especially prefolds, even though I like how more elasticized diapers hold in any messes. Kidoodle was born at 9 lbs, and was able to wear newborn dipes for a short time after that. I think he had really skinny legs, though. . .

Alright, I'm not sure if this makes sense, BUT-
My son (8 weeks old!) still wears newborn clothes. He also wears one-sized diapers (bum genius and rumparooz). They're bulky but fit well around the waist/legs and no leaks.
So perhaps you should try one on her?
She's beautiful, by the way!

Stay home as long as you can Melissa...I have been doing it for the past 7 sevens and it has been wonderful I would never trade anything for the time I have had with my kids....
