Newborn

LilE, as she prefers to spell it, is my wild child. She lives on the edge, literally at times. Hardly looking where she is going, running full speed ahead. 

1 Year Old

All about LilE:

Still loves shoes and will wear "mixed up" boots, a different one on each foot.

Wants to be a "Kitty" when she grows up.

Loves pink and all things girly.

Hello Kitty and all cats are still on the top of the list as favorite animals.

She still talks, a lot. 

Still sucks her thumb.

Loves to help out around the house with reminders, sometimes on her own.

Writing most all of her letters, both upper and lower case. 

Doing "school" at home now. 

LOVES her big brother and is Okay with baby sister most of the time. 

Has a serious gag reflex to anything "gross".

Loves Ballet class but should probably be in gymnastics. I have found her hanging off the back of the couch.

She always has a smile on her face.

Newborn

I can't believe my first born is 6 years old! Ethan is an awesome little boy. He is super smart and quick witted. He is focused on what he wants and is excited about learning. 

1 Year Old

All about Ethan:

Loves all video games: Mindcraft, Cut the Rope are two of his favorites right now.

Wants to be a video game designer when he grows up.

Is in Kindergarten and is ready to be done with school.

Spends hours working on his "books" where he is designing new or drawing current video games.

Loves playing outside.

Very good at his chore chart.

Loves to draw.

Likes to have order and keep things consistent.

Is looking forward to visiting with both sets of Grandparents this summer!

What Happened???

It makes me sad to see how long it's been since I updated this blog.
What happened?
Life happened.
And boy, have we been living it! There is no way I would be able to get caught up on everything so I'm going to pick out one photo for each month that I missed.
So here goes nothing.....Oh who am I kidding? I can't just do one photo!

December 2012:

Ethan just hours old.

Loves to pretend and acts out every movie he watches.

Trains

Loves going to school.

Knows and can identify the alphabet.

Can trace around letters.

Can count to 15 and *almost* 20

Repeats everything we say and is starting to use 3 and 4 word sentences on his own (yea!!)

Loves playing outside. I see him out there telling stories to the yard and the birds and squirrels.

Says "please", "thank you" and "bless you"

Will open the fridge or cabinet to get out something to eat. 

Loves all fruit and will eat a little of most veggies. 

Yogurt and cheese is a daily snack.

Is still not potty trained :( But is showing signs of readiness. 

Puts his socks in the dirty clothes basket 

(His future wife can thank me for that one.)

Likes to pick out his own clothes; matching is not required.

He will not wear pjs to sleep in.
Is wearing 3T.

Took her first steps at 10 1/2 Months

Waves and says Bye Bye to Daddy

Loves to play with Big Brother
Loves watching Brother play outside. She (and I) can't wait till she can go out there with him.

Tells "stories"- non stop babbling
Words I've heard her say:
Shoes
Fish
Bye Bye
Hi
Mama
Dada
Oh, Oh 

Points at things 

Loves to pull fabric/clothing out/off of anything:

boxes, hampers, drawers closets, 

Especially as Mom is folding laundry.
Love getting into exploring everything.
Like the Trash and Recycling cans.

Loves Shoes! 

Everywhere we go she is watching people's shoes as they walk by.

Loves to Eat and mostly enjoys self feeding

Loves all veggies especially Cauliflower
Loves tomatoes just like her big brother.

Eats Cheese and Crackers as an afternoon snack
In fact, she loves to eat so much that she puts everything in her mouth.
Everything.
Her favorite thing to eat:
my shoes.
(I feel like I'm describing a puppy dog. A very cute puppy dog :)

Knows her shoes and socks go on her feet. It is too cute to watch her try to get them on.

Stills sucks her thumb when she is tired or over stimulated.
Breastfeeding is still going strong. We nurse to sleep for naps and bedtime and sometimes when we just need a cuddle.

She has blond hair and Green Eyes.
