Weekly Weigh In- Bike/Jogging Stroller

Starting Weight: 185.6
Last Weeks Weight: 160.6
Current Weight: 160
+/- Week: -.6
+/- Total: -25

ARRRRGGGGGG!!!!!!
Why can't I get out of the 160's?????
When I weighed yesterday I was 159.6 and sooooo excited! But not today.

I only exercised twice this week. I really need to shred everyday but the kids are on a "sleep till 8am" streak and I don't want to mess that up. We did go out in the bike trailer as a jogging stroller the other day. I can't wait for Lily to get a little bigger, get both kids a bike helmet and hook it up to the bike!

Here's before the walk/jog:

Here's after:

Poor Lily! There is not much support for her. Anyone have any ideas how to keep her from slouching? I was thinking a rolled up blanket under the belt between her legs.

I'm not really sure why some of my text is highlighted in white. Sometimes I hate blogger.

Sew Sew Sew

Sorry I've been a bad blogger but I'm sewing up a storm and haven't even taken time to upload the photos I've taken. I have almost 300 pics of the kids and my crafts on my camera. I haven't even done Miss Lily's 8 month update.

I am selling at a Craft Fair for the very first time in November!

I have gotten 4 dresses done (minus a few hems and some buttons) in the last week and a half. I want at least 20 done by the Fair.

I also made Lillian a tutu as part of her Halloween costume. (I made her stand up for these pics. She was only up for the little bit of time it took to snap the photos.)

I've been going to the thrift store at least once a week and finding great fabric skirts, dresses and material to upcycle. I have a whole list of stuff to sew!

Weekly Weigh In

Starting Weight: 185.6
Last Weeks Weight: 161.4
Current Weight: 160.6
+/- Week: -.8
+/- Total: -24.4

At this rate I'm never going to get out of the 160's! I exercised a few times this week.

I also started back to yoga on Saturday. This was my first class that wasn't pre-natal or post-natal since I was pregnant with Lily (around 17 months). It was a "flow" class so you do one move, hold and then "flow" into the next. I think we did about 20 downward dogs. It felt so good to be moving my body again. I love yoga.

I also discovered how my right side is seriously tight and stressed.  I feel like I'm about 2 inches shorter on that side.  Yoga will help. It's really amazing how it helps to really feel your whole body.

When you have monkeys climbing all over you all day it's nice to be alone not thinking about anything but not falling over.

Do you do Yoga?

Goal: 8lbs by end of Sept.

Camping In

I discoverd Ethan and Lily inside the Bear Tent the other morning.

Can you see her new two top teeth?

They were having so much fun!

It's so neat to watch them grow together and become friends.

Monthly Meal Planning/ Once a Month Shopping- September

As I looked back through my old post for the recipe for Chicken Spaghetti I realized I use to write really long, detailed Meal Plan post with great recipes and photos. That was before I had a toddler and an infant!

I've been doing Once a Month Shopping for a few months now. I slacked off during the summer but I'm ready to hit it full force again and will be adding a Monthly Meal Plan to help me stay focused on what we truly need to buy.

I have 25 days to plan for this month. I don't include Fridays because we always have lots of leftovers. I also only plan for the evening meal (except on Sunday when it is Lunch). Eli takes leftovers to work and Ethan and I eat either leftovers or sandwiches and cottege cheese. I buy a ton of frozen veggies and cook them most nights.

Monthly Meals
1. BBQ Pulled Pork (CP)
2. BBQ Chicken (CP)
3. Pork Chops
4. Tuna Casserole
5. Black Eyed Pea Soup (CP)
6. Ck Mexi Casserole
7. HM Tomato Soup w/ Grilled Cheese
8. Pinto Beans w/ fried potatoes
9. Beef Fajitas
10. Spaghetti HM Sauce
11. BBQ Beef on HM Rolls
12. Hot Dogs w/Chili
13. Hamburgers
14. California Tamale Pie
15. Sloppy Joes (CP)
16. Cajun Pulled Pork Roast
17. Lentil Soup
18. CK Enchiladas
19. CK Parmesan (CP)
20. CK Curry (Box mix)
21. CK Pot Pie HM
22. Velveeta CK Spaghetti
23. CK Asparagus Casserole
24. CK Fried Rice
25. Cowboy Beans

Key
CK- Chicken
CP- Crock pot

Most of my recipes come from A Year of Slow Cooking and her first book. I also have a few other Crock pot cook books. If something on the list looks interesting just leave it in the comments and I'll post it!

I went to Target on the 1st and they had their hamburger meat 1.99/lb. I also found 3 pork roast (2lbs each) for 2.86 each! I need to find some bone in chicken to make shredded chicken and chicken broth. The only canned items I buy are canned tomatoes. I make my own chicken broth and cream of chicken and always use dried beans.

I like this method of Monthly Meal Planning instead of Weekly because I can  pick anything off my list to make. I'm not "scheduled" to make a particular meal.

After completing my shopping (it did take me two trips) I have one thing I want to work on for next month. When I plan my meals I will start with the items I already have on hand. This time around I have meat in the freezer from last month that I have no plans on cooking this month. I would spend less on meat if I was using what I had on hand before buying something different.

Weekly Weigh In

Starting Weight: 185.6
Last Weeks Weight: 162.6
Current Weight: 161.4
+/- Week: -1.2
+/- Total: -23.6

Yea!!! I did my shred twice this week. I'm really looking forward to getting out of the 160's.

I might have to do something special like buy some designer fabric. I love up-cycling but sometimes you just need something new, pretty with a high thread count.

I really like the way my thighs don't rub together as much when I walk.

It's the little things in life.

Goal: 8lbs by end of Sept.
